Background Information

Scott Willis Shaw received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 1994, graduating cum laude from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.  He started the Shaw Law Firm in Minnesota in 1995, focusing exclusively on family law, and later obtained his MBA from Duke University in 2001.  In Atlanta, Mr. Shaw re-opened the Shaw Law Firm, again focusing only on divorce and family law.   Having both a J.D. and an MBA is a very unique combination for an attorney.  Mr. Shaw uses his educational background on a daily basis, especially when handling divorces for small business owners.

Julie Shaw holds an MBA from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (1994) and worked as a computer consultant and business analyst for Cap Gemini until joining Shaw Law Firm as Office Manager in 2004. 

The Shaws have been married for 17 years and are the proud parents of six-year old twins. 

Mr. Shaw is currently authoring a book, "How to Win Your Custody Battle," which will be available for purchase in the near future.
